Teacher Training
American Style Bronze Teacher Training
Teaching dance is a career option for anyone...even those with no
prior dance experience ! The American Style Bronze Teacher
Training is a most popular program and is perfect for anyone
motivated in becoming a dance teacher. In this dance teacher
education course, you will learn 17 dances and how to teach them
over 16 months. The program is divided into 4 sections, taking
students through the entire DVIDA (Dance Vision International
Dancers Association) Bronze American Style syllabus for the
Smooth, Rhythm, and Night Club dances. Sessions begin quarterly
and may be taken in any order. This class has no prerequisites; it is
open to dancers of any level.
Benefits
Additional Training
Your tuition entitles you not only to the NC Ballroom Teachers
College course itself, but also to most of the classes and workshops
offered at A Step to Gold International Ballroom in Raleigh and at the
CC Jones Community Center in Apex.
At these locations, you get free entry for group classes and
workshops (where you are required to fill in as leader or follower as
needed), and parties. You also get free floor time for practice. A
complete list of classes and parties can be found at:
www.asteptogold.com.
You will also receive a discounted rate on private lessons with Melanie and Jillian.
Please note: A Step to Gold International classes that are not free to
NCBTC students are celebrity guest workshops taught by visiting
teachers as well as International style classes and workshops.
Employment Opportunities
A Step to Gold International offers Teacher Trainees opportunities to
assist classes and frequently offers teaching positions to top
graduates of the Teacher Training Program, based on the needs of
the studio at that time. Most studios across the United States are
currently hiring qualified dance instructors. With the influx of new
amateur dancers and severe lack of trained, quality teachers, you can
look forward to an abundance of post-NC Ballroom Teachers College
graduate job opportunities.
Through our dedication to providing quality instructors to quality
dance studios, the NC Ballroom Teachers College will do everything
possible to help you find a post-graduate position should you want one.
